Post Holiday update
We were at Negaunee from Friday until Tuesday evening. We didn’t get the rain up there that you got downstate, and the weather was perfect on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Planted the wildflower plants that we purchased. They all have chicken wire around them to keep the bunnies and chipmunks from getting to them easily. Now we’ll see how fussy they are going to be about the kind of soil we have there. (probably too sandy).
Had a great 3 days with Tom and Marilyn. In fact, we did our best to do as we had done when we were in our younger years – played lots of bridge – including doing in the evening until wee hours of the morning before we finally decided our old bones needed some sleep. Loved it! The TV was never on.
I prepared some of the salmon from the freezer that was left from your charter fishing trip last year, using a modification of the recipe that Jeff prepared for us on Mother’s Day, and it turned out really good.
Marilyn got me hooked on Words With Friends, and I went for my first cardiac rehab eval and session today.
That’s all that is new for now.
