So we’ve decided to fix our front yard too, so that people don’t look up at our ugly solar panels, lol. Getting quotes on concrete and wall work. I originally wanted to enclose the yard with a 6foot wall, for some nice private area, but have been warned that the over-zealous Huntington Beach gubermint won’t approve any such eyesore.  Have also been warned that we need to keep a 60-40% hardscape-to-softscape ratio. Using this site

I am consistently checking this site for new posts  twice a day.  Hoping that others will share too.  Mike came home yesterday afternoon, Jeff came by in the evening on his way home after working in Jackson.  NICE!  We’re still enjoying the left-overs from Sunday’s dinner that Jeff had prepared for us.

My Mother’s Day

Had a great one with Jeff and Todd this year.  Jeff prepared “Sheet Pan Fajita Salmon with Cilantro Lime Butter” that was excellent, and he brought over some 14 salad toppings all neatly cut up and ready for a salad buffet (fix your own).  He also brought a baguette, and some Shiraz.   Needless to say, there was plenty of left-overs, and Jeff and I will be enjoying it all over again on Tuesday and...

Health update

I will be starting cardiac rehab at Chelsea Hospital on Wed. May 24th  That will be 3x/wk (M-W-F) at 10:30 – 11:30. Insurance will pay for 36 visits, and that would be 12 weeks.  More than likely, I won’t need to go that long.  Will keep you up to date.

We’ve decided to go solar

We met with a solar salesman (who was actually from the moon) and have decided to sign up.   We’ve got the perfect conditions for it, really, with a flat roof.  It should take around 8 years for a break-even point, and the system has a 25 year warranty.  At the end of the 25 years, the panels will lose their efficiency to 87%, if I remember right.  Your tax dollars are going to help pay...
